Winter Solstace

Do you know when the winter solstice is? I know generally but wasn't sure of the exact date.

This fact apparently shocks and appals seven year olds b/c Ian and his friends were in wonder of this. In order to defend my honor Ian informed everyone "Remember my mom is older and from a different time. Maybe they didn't teach that back then"

Ummm..... I am not THAT OLD. But thanks for the attempt to defend my honor :)
