A random assortment of thoughts that i will try to get out before I crash for the evening.
We have been doing chanukah and the boys thoroughly enjoy getting nightly presents. It cracks me up what the hits are. Jody got the boys suitcases and Alex has really taken to his and takes it everywhere that I will allow with him. Don't ask me why he just wakes up and then starts wheeling it around.
Ian has taken to wearing a yalmukah (or kippa) everywhere he goes. Don't ask why but there is my son in sweatpants and a t-shirt with a yalmukah on at dinner at the local mexican restaurant. People are going to start thinking we are much more religious than we are.
Tonight Ian got really upset that we won't get him his own credit card. He wants one. We asked how he is going to pay for it, he said he will have people swipe his cc, I said but how are you going to pay the bill, he says with money from my penny bank, so i say and what happens when you run out of money from your penny bank so he says I will use my credit card. To which darren says that is how people get in trouble and why you don't have a credit card. It is nice to know that most americans have the same mentality of a 5 year old. So he really wants us to explain to him farther and so darren is talking about how you have to have money to pay off the credit card and asks ian "where do we go if we need to get money" and of course darren is thinking "to work" and ian replies "the bank" so eventually we gave up and said that he can't get a credit card until he has a job and hope that we have some time to better explain it.
This weekend my brother graduated. It was good to see the family again.
Daniel is still waking up constantly but now rewards with lots of smiles. Last night when driving home from Hunstville he is screaming so we pull the car over to feed him. I pull him out of the car seat and try to feed him. He isn't hungry. He just looks at me and grins. He just doesn't want to be in that car seat. Oh brother!! So we put him back in and convinced Ian to entertain him.
Okay well I am going to go pass out now.
