Some friends invited us to stay at their house in College Station and go to the football game. It was a fabulous return to normalcy. We were in their house, made ourselves at home, ate wonderful homecooked meals and had great company. It was the first time I felt relaxed since days before the hurricane. The boys love being here, loved going to the football game. Our friends were such great hosts. I can't express my gratitude enough because we really needed it after such a stressful week.
Our power doesn't seem to be returning any time soon so we will be moving into a short term apartment until we get power. The boys return to school some time next week. Darren returns to work Tuesday. Hoping for a routine, some playdates and an attempt to feel like life is getting back to normal.
