Recipe for...

I was reading the SITS website (see my blog on the right hand column) and they wanted to have your recipe for success. Any kind of recipe (food, making your husband happy, quieting your kids, whatever you would like) so the following are my recipes. Do you have any of your own? Please let me know.

Recipe...
For a happy husband... Know that he is human and also wants to feel loved and appreciated, even if he doesn't verbalize it.
For happy kids... Get outside! My boys are happiest when they get outside and burn off some energy
For good food... Go to http://dinnerfor3boys.blogspot.com/ I have got a ton of them.

For ease with grocery shopping... Make your menus 4 weeks in advance. If you make 28 recipes and rotate then you won't have to write up a new weekly grocery list (and you will probably eat more variety than you are currently eating). You put the effort and time in the beginning but after that it is easy. Just add the few foods that you run out of. We buy all our non-perishables at the beginning of the month. Then the other 3 trips are short trips for fruit, vegetables, bread, milk and the other few foods we ran out of. This makes for zero need to go to the grocery store more than once a week which leads to lower grocer bills. This then leads to a happier husband. Win/ Win.

For a better environment... have your kids use both sides of a piece of paper, turn your thermostat up 2 degrees, buy reusable grocery bags, turn off your lights, the list is endless really.
For crafts... I post weekly craft ideas on Mondays
For quality friendships... listen (really listen) to your friends. Ask questions and hear their response rather than thinking of your own.

For a good relationship with your neighbors... Respect that their home is their sanctuary as well. Even if their noise or dogs disturb you at times. They have as much a right to their home as you do to yours.
For happiness... Don't beat yourself up. We all falter and lose our temper. We all act in a way we are not proud of. Accept this and move on. You are human.

For the best salsa on earth... Take

For a good time.. good friends

Recipe for disaster - too many to list :) Hope this helps some.
