Daniel had his two week check up and he is already 7lbs. 5 oz. He has gained 1 1/2 lbs since leaving the hospital. Obviously the misery he is feeling with all his reflux issues are not affecting his weight gain. I did still set up an appointment with a pedi-GI because Daniel stops breathing during the night and it scares the daylights out of me. Darren and I are VERY sleep deprived but it is amazing how at 3 am. one can still charish the creature who is keeping you awake.

And on the news front for Daniel - his belly button thing that is there when they leave the hospital and is disgusting fell off :) YEAH. One less thing to clean that makes me gag.

On the news front for Alex - still loves school. Loves his teachers. And this week he starts learning his sounds.

Ian is working on his "teen" boards at school and does a "hundred" board at home. Really enjoying math. He is frustrated with Darren though when it comes to reading because Darren makes him sound out the sounds to read and he wants Darren to tell him the word and then he repeats it...

Darren is swamped at work trying to find a replacement for the lady who works for him and trying to get everything else done for all the expansions that are taking place in his region.

And my father finally came over to visit tonight. It was really great to see him. The boys think it is such a great opportunity to play fighting games. He really rough houses a lot with them. I was so happy he was there but still saddened by the fact that i had to tell him I would think he would want to see his new grandson to get him to come to our house 2 weeks after Daniel was born... Well I guess that is my family though.

Today my friend Yvette came over and as always it was great to see her. We have so much in common and whether we are talking about nothing or something deep like race / religion we always enjoy each others company. I truly charish our friendship and always wonder why we don't get together more often.

Otherwise we are getting back into our routine and it is nice to be out of the house some as well.
